The above are miscellaneous explorations that show the beginning concepts of textile repeats for print. The first exploration is inspired by a traditional Ikat weave and print, and the second exploration is inspired by botanicals and florals.
Both explorations are mixed media sketches using watercolour and pencil crayon. Exploration process work shows experimentation with inventive ways of applying watercolour paints on watercolour paper, and watercolour paints in combination with household chemicals such as dish soap.
